Thanksgiving To Go

This year, with all of the current and upcoming restrictions due to the Coronavirus, Thanksgiving will definitely be different for many families. Many people usually have all of their family members over, however, in many states, there are restrictions for the amount of people that can gather at one time. This will prevent some families from gathering together.

Also, with the threat of the Coronavirus increasing again, many people are trying to stay safe and healthy. Gathering with many people who you usually don’t see, can pose a risk, so some people are choosing not to have a big dinner for this reason as well.

Due to this situation, many people are thinking about doing takeout instead of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Since many families can’t get together this year, there isn’t a need to make a lot of food. Why take all of that time to make the food when there isn’t that many people eating it?

For me, the tradition of making all of the food is more important than eating the food. I don’t think I could miss out on all of the homemade mashed potatoes and pies!

There are some restaurants this year that are offering Thanksgiving meals to-go. The meals will contain some of the traditional foods like turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. This will help many people out because it saves them all of the preparation and cooking time. It also offers a contactless way to have Thanksgiving at home. All they have to do is pick it up and it is ready to eat!
